Complexion Corrector

What Is the Complexion Corrector?

Restore clearer, brighter, more even-looking skin with our Complexion Corrector treatment! This advanced light-based treatment (often referred to as IPL) targets redness, rosacea, superficial facial veins, age spots, brown spots, and uneven pigmentation caused by sun damage and aging. By breaking down excess pigment and minimizing visible redness beneath the skin’s surface, this non-invasive treatment helps improve overall skin tone and clarity with minimal downtime. Ideal for those looking to calm redness while brightening discoloration, this treatment leaves your skin looking smoother, healthier, and more radiant over time.

Your appointment typically takes about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

The results of this treatment can last several months to over a year, depending on your skin type and lifestyle factors. Regular maintenance treatments, along with a good skincare routine, can help prolong the results. Factors like sun exposure, stress, and certain triggers may cause new flare-ups over time, but with proper care, the effects of the treatment can be long-lasting.

You may need multiple treatments to achieve your desired results; sometimes stubborn facial veins make take up to three treatments. Our expert estheticians can help you determine what is needed to meet your goals.

Our Complexion Corrector treatment can cause some mild discomfort, but it is highly effective. While others may advertise similar treatments as pain-free, this is often due to turning down the energy settings, which can require more sessions and deliver less noticeable results. We prioritize delivering powerful and lasting results in fewer treatments by using optimal energy levels, which may cause slight discomfort but ensure better outcomes. Any discomfort is typically brief, and most of our patients find it manageable. We can always add Pronox to any treatment to increase your level of comfort.

To prepare for this treatment, avoid using harsh exfoliants, scrubs, or retinoids a week before your treatment to prevent skin irritation. It’s important to stay out of the sun, avoid spray tans and wear sunscreen to protect your skin for at least two weeks leading up to your treatment. Additionally, avoid waxing, shaving, or using any hair removal treatments on the area for at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. Keeping your skin well-hydrated with a good moisturizer will also help ensure optimal results.

Nope! You can resume your normal activities after your treatment as well as apply any makeup. You may experience some temporary redness, slight swelling, or darkening of the treated spots for a few days. These effects typically subside within three to seven days as your skin heals. During this time, it’s important to avoid sun exposure.

Yes! You should be using sunscreen daily, whether you have treated your face or not. We recommend either the Skin Genius Protect 44 or Drenched Protect 40. Protect 44 is water resistant and has a sheer, universal tint beneficial for most skin types. Protect 40 contains hyaluronic acid and is great for post-procedure and sensitive skin.
